Our Mission
At Elite Sports Basketball Rwanda (ESBR), our mission is to cultivate a new generation of basketball talent in Rwanda. Through expert coaching and comprehensive development programs, we aim to instill the values of teamwork, discipline, and leadership in young athletes, helping them excel both on and off the court.
Our History
Founded in October 2014 by Patrick Habiyaremye, a FIBA Level 1 Certified coach and current Assistant Coach for the U18 Rwanda Boys National Team, ESBR officially launched its programs in May 2020. Driven by a passion for the game and a vision to create opportunities for young athletes, ESBR has rapidly grown into a respected institution within the Rwandan sports community. Many of our players have gone on to represent Rwanda’s U18 and U16 National Teams.

At the core of everything we do are four key values: Discipline — the foundation of athletic and personal growth; Friendship — fostering strong relationships through teamwork and support; Sportsmanship — competing with integrity and respect for the game; and Skills — continuous improvement and mastery in basketball. These values guide every practice, every game, and every interaction within our program.
